The scheme involved 37km of 4 lane motorway between Cashel in Tipperary and Carrigane, in Cork, providing a bypass of 4 villages, and the construction of 4 new grade separate interchanges and 79 structures. The scheme also provided for the 3km long N24 eastern bypass of Cahir. The type of contract used was Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), the
first in Ireland.
Subsequently we were appointed to prepare the specimen design, procurement and construction supervision for the 16km from Mitchelstown to Fermoy.
